News (concert calendar, please see below):
At times, keeping up with this website gets forgotten, especially the English version... but here's at least a short update.
Tomorrow, 29 April, my booker Angela and I go to "Jazzahead" to meet people and make contacts. Meet us there if you want!
And I'm looking forward to my quartet's next concert on 5 May in Düsseldorf, Jazzschmiede. Beautiful venue, great band - come listen!

Not much longer to go now! In June 2016, my new album "Songs & Dances" is coming out. It's on Double Moon Records, featuring my trusted co-musicians Thomas Rückert (p), André Nendza (b) and Oliver Rehmann (dr), and I'm all excited!
The release concert will be in Cologne's "Stadtgarten" on Tuesday, 7.6.2016. Come listen!
Attention press: for being supplied with samples, please contact either me or Double Moon.

Listen to the radio! For instance on 3rd of March at 17:30h, Ö1: "Spielräume" with Andreas Felber, "Tributes to Bill Evans".

Looking forward to tonight 14.2.2016: the official "Dear Bill" album release concert!
Our special guest, bassist John Goldsby, is unfortunately unavailable, but in Martin Gjakonovski we found a marvelous more-than-substitute.

Just arrived back from Rotterdam: the Pop & Jazz Platform of the Conservatoires Association AEC. Inspiring people, questions, ideas.

Some more reviews for "Dear Bill": here, on fb, you can read some.

Another beautiful review - in German - is to be found here in "Musenblätter". Thanks!

Available for another few days in SR-media centre (Saarlaendischer Rundfunk radio): the program "Jazz Now" from 25.10.2015 with Johannes Kloth, featuring - among others - "Dear Bill".
The jazz magazine JazzThing, as well, have been listening to the album: reviewed in the November issue.

Today, on 23. Oktober 2015, "Dear Bill" is being published, a tribute to the great pianist Bill Evans, featuring Thomas Rückert (p), Anne Hartkamp (voc) and special guest John Goldsby (b).
On CD and - vinyl!
It's the most beautiful baby, of course, the CD as well as the LP. Soon, there will be excerpts in the player here, but anyway it's available as of now via the usual suspects and - especially recommended - through JazzSick Records' online shop, where you can find a listening sample. Enjoy!

The 14th Darmstadt Jazzforum about "Gender and Identity in Jazz": highly interesting presentations, intense discussions and inspiring encounters; an informal while concentrated atmosphere; exchange and food for thought. Impressive!

The Jazzsommernacht (jazz summer night) was marvelous - a real warm summer night attracting a great number of listeners to this little Festival. Some press can be read here.

The new quartet album will be released by Doublemoon in spring, 2016. I'm very excited!

An appetizer to the coming quartet album: this video trailer featuring excerpts from a concert at LOFT, Cologne, with lots of beautiful new material

In Portugal, too, people can listen to music by Magnolia and by the Anne Hartkamp Quintet: the University radio in Braga discovered us...

Also the Austrian Ö1 Radio (recently in the program "Spielraeume": "...charming, witty music...") plays Magnolia. Great!

VIDEOS:  Magnolia has now its own little web page with Thomas Krüsselmann's beautiful "Khilebor"-video shot during the recording session. And here, you can see three clips from the CD release concert "Wait A Second": MoebiousCatching Butterflies and E Preciso Perdoar. Enjoy!
The duo can also be found on "soundcloud".
The Anne Hartkamp Quintet at the 2012 Cologne winterjazz festival: "Deep", "Dance No. One" and "Quinten/Catching Butterflies" - the first as a video, the two others are slideshows, combining photos & audio from the festival night. The wonderful pictures were shot by Dorina Milas. It'll All Come Right, a recording from the Quintet's concert at the Munich "Unterfahrt" club, and from the same occasion here's a "Trailer" with excerpts from different compositions.

Recent CDs:
Magnolia, "Wait A Second"
"...high art und Jazz at its best and most essential... breathtaking..." (Jazz'n'more, CH)

Anne Hartkamp Quintet, "MOMENTUM"
...Applause!" (DER SPIEGEL, KulturSPIEGEL June 2010, CD recommendation)
"I absolutely loved this work."
